Out Ministries
At FaithQuest, "OUT" means risk-taking mission and service!
FaithQuest has a multitude of "OutReach" Opportunities for individuals and families.
Have you ever asked yourself,
"How does God Love the world through Me?"
There is a good probability that you have already answered that and are searching for a way to apply that in your life. Perhaps God has placed in your heart an outreach ministry and you have been looking for a church to support this. FaithQuest has a multitude of outreach ministries to help you explore how you can answer that QUESTION. We have leaders who can guide you in all forms of group outreach and are ready to encourage and support your ministries. Check out our menu of outreach offerings below.
FaithQuest's Outreach Mission:
- FaithQuest is committed to encouraging both personal outreach and group outreach. Outreach ministry to those outside the walls of our church is vital to both personal and church spiritual growth.
- FaithQuest believes in "outreach" as one of four healthy habits to grow as a Christian. There are a multitude of ways that you can serve the community both locally and globally.
- We believe in practicing "Servant Evangelism". Selfless acts of kindness from the heart in the form of tangible actions that show God's love in a practical way.
- We are also called to plant the seeds of Jesus Christ by sharing His message of GRACE, the FREE LOVE OF GOD. This combination of both action and sharing God's message are how we reach out to others.
We know it may take an average of seven touches or experiences before someone acknowledges their acceptance of Jesus Christ as their Savior. We strive to be those touches.

A Community Response for Homeless Families
Family Promise Lake Houston (FPLH) is a non-denominational nonprofit 501(C)(3) organization that ministers to families in transition. FPLH is part of a national network of more than 135 such programs across the United States. There are over 4,500 congregations and 110,000 volunteers serving in these programs.
How the program works:
Host Congregations
Four times per year, for one week at a time, as a host congregation we would provide overnight lodging, meals (dinner, breakfast, and brown bag lunch), and hospitality for up to three families (no more than 14 people) from 6:00 p.m. until morning, at which time guests leave for work, school or the day center.
What you can do:
- Prepare dinner - Provide an evening meal for the guests at your church.
- Greet & eat - Welcome guests, join them for dinner and spend a few hours in the evening chatting, listening or helping with homework, playing with kids, etc.
- Spend the night - Sleep at the church overnight in case any issues arise that need your attention.
- Buy groceries - Provide items that guests can use to prepare their breakfast and lunches for adults and kids for school.
- Do laundry - When guests move on to the next church there will be a pile of linens that need to be laundered and ready for next time.
- Pray - Keep guests in your prayers to help them get back on their feet and pray for FPLH's continued ministry.
- Be a coordinator - Help organize the program in your congregation and round up volunteers for your rotation four times a year.
Our next Hosting Week will begin July 4th.

Harvest Day Ministries
There are opportunities each day of the week and Saturdays. We provide a sack lunch for the less fortunate and homeless in our community. Go out into the community help nourish their bodies and feed their souls. Over 4,210 meals have been served.
