Ordained in 1995, our pastor has served churches in Houston and Northeast Texas, as well as two small Appalachian communities in rural Kentucky. He Sees himself as a "personal evangelist for Jesus Christ, Macintosh Computers, and Dodge Trucks."

Kenn holds a degree in Architecture from the University of Houston, and worked in that profession just long enough to call it a "career".

He loves school and went on to receive both a Master's Degree and then a Doctorate as a Beeson Pastor, from Asbury Seminary in Kentucky.

After a decade of pastoring, Kenn planted FaithQuest UMC in 2004. At the end of the day, he goes home to Cara, his wonderful wife of 15 years, two exceptional kids, Aaron and Meagan, and two chocolate labs, Ruby and Gus.

In his role as the "Director of IN Ministries", Jamie is responsible for guiding and nurturing the growth of our Children and Student ministries, and our Small Group ministry as well. Jamie's responsibilities include (but are not limited to) recruiting, empowering and motivating volunteers in the leading of the children and adults towards God, and to do it in ways that make sense to them. 

As a graduate of Houston Baptist University, Jamie has been involved in vocational ministry in the Houston area for over seven years, and comes to FaithQuest having served and led Children and Students in two previous churches. He comes equipped with a first-hand knowledge of how to take these ministry to the next level.

Jamie's passions include God, people, and an inexplicable emotional attachment to the Houston Astros. His greatest joy though can be found in his time with his four-year-old son, Beau.
